Brompton Configurator

You may choose from the M, P, or S Type Brompton folding bikes. The three models are distinguished by their handlebar types. Your choice will serve as the price base line. Each selection after selecting a bike will deduct or add to the price—visible in the "Shopping Cart" box at the upper right.

Beside the choice of bike, you must choose at least one option from each of these categories: GEARING, RACK/MUDGUARD, and, if you desire a steel bike, COLOR - Main frame and COLOR - Extremities.

For steel bikes: the COLOR categories permit you to choose two colors, one for the main frame and one for the extremities, which may be the same. The one exception is Lacquer, which cannot be combined with another color.

For superlight bikes: if you desire a superlight bike with titanium parts, choose just one color from the COLOR - Superlight category. The prices for these colors include the extra cost of the titanium parts. The following titanium parts are incorporated in the super light models: Rear frame, front fork, pedal axle bolt, seat post and fender stays. The classic main frame thus remains steel alloy. The super light package also includes the following upgrades: Alloy head set, lightweight front wheel (featuring double-butted spokes) and front hub with an aluminum axle and even higher quality sealed bearings.

Get started

Step 1. Start by clicking "Brompton" under Categories at the upper left and click "ADD" to select the bike.

Step 2. Click "Brompton Options" under Categories at the upper left to reveal subcategories of options, select a subcategory and click "ADD" to select each desired option.

Step 3. Repeat Step 2. until you have selected all options.

Step 4. You will see a running total of the cost of your configuration choices in the shopping cart box at the right.

Detailed instructions

We will start with, as a base configuration, either the M, P, or S Type Brompton which you will be able to customize with various options. Some options increase, some decrease, and some leave the total price unchanged.

1. Select bike

Under “Categories” at the upper left, click Brompton and then “ADD”. The M3L will be added to your cart. You will see an abbreviated version of your cart at the upper right.

2. Select option categories

Under “Categories” at the upper left, click “Brompton Options.” This will list categories of options, Gearing, Rack/Mudguard, etc. in the “Categories” box as well as image links in the center box. Either click an options category in the “Categories” box or an image to select an option in that category.

3. Select options

View your options and select by clicking “ADD”. Again, your selections will appear in the shopping cart box at the upper right with a running total of your costs. At any time you can learn more about an option by clicking its image or its “Product Name”. (You may also “Add to Cart” from its full description page.)

4. View your total or make changes

If you change your mind about an option, you may remove or change the quantity of any option by clicking the “Modify Cart Contents” link at the upper right. This also will show the unabbreviated version of your cart. There you will have the option to remove options.

Option Categories Available:

• BROMPTON M, P, or S STYLE: Select the model that provides the riding position you prefer. Foldability is not affected.
• GEARING: From 1 to 6-speed with different size chain rings.
• RACKS/MUDGUARDS: Your choice of mudguard and/or rack.
• COLOR - Main frame: For steel bikes: select one of numerous colors. Or one for the frame, another for the extremities (except Lacquer: the lacquer choice covers both frame and extremities).
• COLOR - Extremities: For steel bikes: Options for fork, handlebar stem and rear frame. Select a second different color for the fork, rear frame and handlebar-stem.
• COLOR - Superlight: Option for titanium bikes only.All models incorporate the same unique steal alloy frame for a high performance ride including swift and safe handling. The Titanium models replace the front fork and rear frame assembly with titanium and come with the natural titanium finish on these parts. Handlebar stem and main-frame only will be painted in the color of your choice. Price includes both titanium parts and color choice.
• SEAT POST HEIGHTS: The Brompton folder remarkably fits riders tall and short. Tall riders select the optional extra length or telescoping seat posts.
• SADDLES: Brooks B17, men’s or women’s.
• REAR SUSPENSION: the option for a firmer suspension (no extra cost).
• TIRES: various options.
• LIGHTING: various options.
• LUGGAGE: various options.
• COVER/TRANSPORTING: various options.
