Bikes on Buses

In the Greater Seattle area electric-assisted bicycles may be carried on the bicycle racks of Metro buses.

The following bikes are among those which fit within a 46" wheel base restriction: The Giant Twist; iZip Ultra, Pathfinder and Vibe; Kinetic Quando.

The weight limit is 55 lb: The Giant Twist Express, Kinetic Quando, iZip Pathfinder and Ultra weigh less even with the battery in. The Giant Twist Freedom DX, iZip Vibe and all Kinetic models weigh less after removal of the quick release batteries.

Folding, non-electric bikes with 16 and 20" wheels may be allowed inside the bus as well.

And as we do not speak for Metro do check Metro's bike page.
