Product Support, Service and Parts

The electric bike is an evolving industry in the U.S. Finding competent, experienced and committed service may on occasion still be a consumer concern.

However, our full service department was established in 1996 and is staffed to preferentially support the owners of the bikes they bought from us—and to do so expertly, promptly and flexibly.

We are not set up to handle any other customers whether their bikes are labeled Currie, US Pro Drive, eZip or iZip.

iZip + eFlow Electric Bikes

Currie Electric Bikes

Currie Tech is the leading distributor on the U.S. market of a wide range of electric bike models. Our own cooperation with Currie goes back to 1996.

In 2011 Currie = iZip became part of The Accell Group, one of the world's largest producers of quality bicycles, bicycle parts and fitness equipment.

In recent years Currie has introduced several impressive medium and higher end iZip models. Our customers of these models are quite pleased with their purchases and our service department is enjoying an easy ride as well.

Key features of the new iZip models include:

Style and riding experience amazingly akin to regular bicycles. No 'clunky mopeds' these!

250 and 500 Watt motors. As a comparison while world elite bicycle racers can amazingly keep up pedaling at 350-400 W for a couple of hours most of the rest of us ride at 50-150 W.

The Metro, Zuma, Path and Vibe incorporate 'dual model' power control, i.e. the instant choice between 'twist your wrist' throttle and 'pedal activation' (of the rotation sensing design).

The Ultra is of the 'torque sensing' design, i.e. the motor responds instantaneously and proportional to pedaling pressure.

The brand new eFlow was introduced in 2013.

iZip Vibe Electric Bike

The Vibe allows a unique choice of batteries as the custom rear rack accommodates one or two quick-release batteries:

24 Volt/250 Watt smooth and quiet rear hub motor. 'Dual mode' power control, i.e. instant choice between twist grip throttle or pedal activation (of the rotation sensing kind). 15 mph top speed. Bike weighs 48 lb without batteries.

The red low step-thru frame model fits riders from about 5'. The gray slope frame model fits riders from about 5'5". Both provide a comfortable upright, cushioned ride with optimally adjustable high rise handle bar. Ride to see and be seen. Glide along on a comfort seat with suspension post, suspension front fork and wide 26" x 2.00" tires. 7-speed derailleur shifter.

iZip Path Electric Bike

Been eying the $3,000 category of 250W Euro bikes? The Path may offer an exciting option. It arguably compares in style, utility, performance and handling. In addition iZip provides what few brands can: Well established U.S. based support. Our Seattle shop started to work with iZip (just 'Currie' at the time) in 1996.

iZip Zuma Electric Bike

iZip Zuma Metro Electric Bike
iZip Zuma Metro Electric Bike

This cruiser model incorporates the same 500 Watt motor as the E3 Metro. The Zuma otherwise differs from the E3 Metro—obviously beyond frame design and colors—in regard to power level adjustment & display, battery capacity & placement, handle bar adjustment, suspension and tire tread pattern.

iZip E3 Metro Electric Bike

The 'Got It All bike'—truly.

The superbly comfortable and versatile 500 Watt E3 Metro offers the rider the instant choice between riding solely by 'twist of the wrist' throttle or, should he or she be so inclined, pedal activation of the rotation sensing kind.

See and be seen: sit upright on the superb cruiser saddle with hands resting on the raised and optimally adjustable handle bar. Glide along on wide tires. Dual disc brakes stops you reassuringly even down steep hills with the serious loads you may be carrying on the E3's unique dual racks.

Gently twist the throttle: The E3 takes off instantaneously displaying amazing torque and surges smoothly, quietly and swiftly to 20 mph. Few hills shall be encountered which the E3 cannot crest with ease.

Other features include a 36V/10Ah Li-Ion battery unobtrusively placed in the, seat post suspension and 8 speed shifting.

The E3 comes in slope frame (fits riders from about 5'6") and low step-in (fits riders from about 5'2") models.

This powerful and utilitarian design should appeal to the cyclist as well as to someone who might be considering a motor scooter or small motorcycle. But no 'clunker' this one: the E3 is niftily maneuverable, pedals decently even in power-off mode and weighs a mere 55 lb.

iZip Ultra Electric Bike

iZip Ultra

The Ultra is for those of us who wants an electric bike that rides, handles and looks like a accomplished bicycle with the power of a Tour de France rider. We can now—and only after 15 years in the business—offer this!

If you share our enthusiasm over pedal activation of the intuitive 'torque sensing' kind currently offered by the Giant Twist but want twice the power, higher speed, sportier handling and the ability to swiftly crest steep hills (with only moderate pedaling effort) then the fabulous new 500 Watt Ultra awaits you. All mere 50 lbs of it.

The Ultra's motor responds instantly and proportionally to the rider's pedaling effort: The power you need, the instant you need it, without having to give it a thought.

Other features include the 36V/10Ah Li-Ion battery unobtrusively placed in the frame, 24 speeds, front and rear disc brakes as well as front and rear suspension.

Fits riders from about 5'6".

Our Seattle store customers may take advantage of our special light as well as rack and fender deals.
