Electric Bikes and Kits, an Overview

Which are your riding expectations?

On this page ebikes are addressed in the categories Power, How Power is Engaged and Controlled and Range. For battery Ah capacity see the right column.

There is of course more to an ebike than what is covered here, hence we are here to explore with each individual customer which bike or power kit may suit him or her the best. Our sales persons ride their own ebikes near daily, have done so for years, and also do work in the service department.

Range, i.e. miles per full charge

As the variables—such as rider & bike weight, pedaling, acceleration, speed, stop & go, terrain, headwind, bike design & condition—are numerous one cannot represent an 'average' range.

However, a 'magnitude' number might be around 20-30 real traffic miles on modest to moderate terrain on one of our advanced, dual mode or pedal activated bikes with a single 9-10 Ah Li-Ion Polymer battery.

If you need to ride around 50 miles you may want to consider the Giant Twist DX that comes with 2 x 9 Ah = 18 Ah batteries or a Kinetic Sprint or Torq which come wired for an optional second 14Ah battery = 28Ah.
