Electric Bikes and Kits, an Overview

Here's an 'at a glance' overview of bikes and kits.

We invite the prospective customer to phone or email us with any questions and to discuss which bike or kit may be the best for him or her. At our Seattle shop the persons who answer the phones and emails all ride their own electric and/or folding bike(s) near daily, service, repair and sell our bikes and kits. (If you are looking for a specialized sales person or order taker can't help you).

Range, i.e. miles per full charge

The variables, such rider & bike weight, pedaling, speed, stop & go, terrain, headwind, bike design & condition, are too numerous to suggest an average.

However, a 'magnitude' number would be around 25 real life, real traffic miles on modest to moderate terrain on our advanced system, pedal activated, quality bikes with a single 9-10 Ah Li-Ion Polymer battery. If you need to ride upward 50 miles do purchase a highly accomplished bike with built in 18 Ah battery capacity: the Giant Twist Freedom DX or the 18 Ah iZip Express. Or carry an extra battery.
